Create a Photo Gallery
Desktop
Step 1: Hover over the +New tab and select Photo Gallery
Step 2: Enter in your title
Step 3: Above the content box, choose Add Media
Step 4: On the left-hand side of that popup screen, click “Create Gallery,” then choose Select Files
Step 5: Choose the photos from your computer and select open. [Note: To choose multiple images at a time hold the command (if on a Mac)/ctrl(if on a PC) button on your keyboard and select the images you want.}
Step 6: If you want to add a caption and/or drag and reorder the pictures, you can do so on this screen.
Step 7: After the images are set, click Insert gallery
Step 8: On the right-hand side under Featured Image, click “Set Featured Image” to determine which photo will be used in the thumbnail preview.
Step 9: Go to the Teams section on the right hand side of the page and choose the sport(s) that are in this gallery. This allows the gallery to be categorized for the appropriate teams.
Step 10: Scroll to the top of the page and click the blue Publish button.
Mobile

This is helpful if the website would actually then SHOW the pictures as team pictures or even just a gallery. I could see them in the back end of the site, but to the public eye, NOTHING shows. It's been happening since the Nov. 2017 update. :( Not happy at all.

If the images are not appearing on the public side of the site, it's possible that you're forgetting one (easy-to-miss) step. After clicking the Add Media button, you'll want to make sure you click the "Create Gallery" option on the left side of the box that pops up, rather than the "Insert Media" option that is selected and bold by default.
This is shown in Step 4 of the above guide -- the image should hopefully be helpful in finding the right option.
