Embed a Google Calendar
Desktop
Getting the Google Calendar embedded on a page requires you to retrieve an embed code, but will give viewers the luxury of seeing an events calendar right on the page, instead of needing to visit another site to view it. Here’s how to get this set up:
Step 1: Hover over the +New tab at the top of your screen and select Page.
Step 2: Enter in a title for your calendar page.
Step 3: Navigate to your Google Calendar. Click on the gear icon at the top right of your calendar and select Settings.
Step 4: On the left hand side of the page select the calendar you would like to Embed. Then hit the integrate button that sits below it.
Step 5: On the right now you should see an embed code, copy that code.
Step 6: Go back to the school page you created in step 1 on your website. At the top of the content box, where it says “Visual,” click the tab to right that says “Text.”
Step 7: Paste the Embed Code. Inside the code, change the width="800" to width="100%".
Step 8: On the right-hand side, click the blue Publish button.
How does someone add a Google Calendar for a specific sport? Ex: Hockey.
If I follow the steps above, where does the Calendar appear? On the home page? I am only adding a Practice Google Calendar for a specific team, not the entire school.
Hey John! Great question.
Once the page is created you'll be able to place it wherever you want on the site within the Appearance menu.
